Well, Google just keeps on getting bigger and bigger. Google has launched its beta blog search.
I guess this was the next logical step after they acquired Pyra Labs (Blogger/BlogSpot's parent company) back in 2003.
The search results are interesting. I typed in "Tech Guru" and while my blog doesn't show up in the results (it is new) I was showing in the Related Blogs section at the top.
Blog Search is a neat feature. I only wonder how Google will make this different from the hundreds of blog search engines out there.
Most likely it will just become popular just because Google is the Microsoft of search engines.

You say "came out with Blogger", which is misleading. Google didn't invent Blogger, it acquired Pyra Labs (Blogger/BlogSpot's parent company) back in 2003).
It remarkable how much Google's sat on its hands since making that purchase, actually. It hasn't seemed to be in a big hurry to do much in the blogging space, before or after the IPO.
